Selling Your BMW at Auction: A Seller's Checklist
Everything to prepare before listing your BMW at auction — photos, documents, reserve strategy and how to answer bidder questions.
Photos sell cars
Shoot in even daylight. Cover every exterior angle, the interior, engine bay, underside, wheels and tires, and any flaws up close. Honest photos of blemishes build trust and reduce disputes.
Gather your documents
Have the title ready — Bimmer-Bids requires a title upload for vehicles. Collect service records, receipts, window sticker and any history report.
Choose reserve or no reserve
No-reserve listings ($49) tend to attract more bidders. A reserve ($99) protects a minimum price — set it realistically using recent sold prices on our Results page.
Be active during the auction
Answer comments quickly and thoroughly. Add videos of a cold start and a walkaround — they're some of the most-requested items from bidders.
